U.S has never fought ISIS in Syria – they are partners in crimes against the Syrian people.
During my recent time in #DeirEzzor I spoke with one of the commanding officers who had been present during the U.S Coalition criminal attack (in September 2016) on #SAA positions in Jabal Al Tharda (mountain) which allowed #ISIS to take the strategic position from the SAA and put hundreds of thousands of Deir Ezzor civilians in danger of an ISIS massacre.
The officer (name withheld for security) told me in detail how the bombing came out of the blue, there had been no warning. It lasted more than an hour, during which time over 100 Syrian Army soldiers were massacred.
He also told me that, after the initial bombing, the U.S coalition had returned with three Apache helicopters and three jets to strafe wounded and fleeing SAA soldiers with machine gun fire. A further 25 soldiers were murdered during this second attack. The officer described how the ISIS fighters waited for the U.S attack to finish before they advanced and took the position.
The U.S and their allies from Australia and the U.K (reaper drones) effectively prevented any rescue of wounded or dying soldiers from the battlefield. Any Syrian medical teams or comrades were also fired upon as they tried to reach stricken soldiers..
The bodies of the SAA heroes were taken by ISIS terrorists and have never been returned.
The same officer also informed me that the town of Hajjin had been controlled by ISIS until two months ago when they apparently handed control over to the U.S-backed SDF forces. After one week, 14 oil trucks entered the town from the Omar Oil Field and they were left unguarded for 3 days. During that time ISIS terrorists entered Hajjin unhindered and drove the oil trucks towards Al Bukamal. With a huge degree of irony the officer told me:
“It’s amazing how the U.S drones, war planes and surveillance teams didn’t spot ISIS driving 14 oil trucks from Hajjin to Al Bukamal”
The “U.S fighting ISIS” myth should be binned without any further ceremony or propaganda protectionism. It is a lie.
Link to Tim Anderson excellent investigation into the war crime at Jabal Al Tharda is in the comments below.
I will be writing a full report on my time in Deir Ezzor very soon.
